Home Cook Risotto

This Ramadan holiday, we get a taste of home cook Mushroom Risotto, courtesy of my cousin, Boy (nickname). Boy was back home for a short break from where he's currently serving as an Executive Chef at OTTO Ristorante, an Italian Restaurant chain at Singapore. 

Risotto is a traditional Italian dishes cooked in broth to creamy consistency, and may mix with variety of vegetables, fish or meat based. Most risotto contain Parmesan cheese, butter, and onion, and it is one of the most common ways of cooking rice in Italy.

Just when I heard that Boy is preparing a meal at home, so I decided to document this and post it here for the joy of sharing.

Greek Trip 01/06/12: Final Day At Sea, Norwegian Jade

Yep, the journey to Greece has almost come to an end, and we had our final day on board of Norwegian Jade cruise while heading back to Venice port. So here are the rest of the stories. It has been a great pleasure to spent our sweet days on this wonderful cruise.

Greek Trip 31/05/12: Greek Lunch

Lunch hour at Katakolo Town, where me and Ester came across with this "homey" Greek Restaurant. Surprisingly there's only 3 person working under the roof, the owner as the chef, the owner's wife taking orders and serving food, alongside with another waitress. So we wait for quite a while for our food, but it was really worth it. Check out the rest of the photos.

Dining At Grand Pacific, Norwegian Jade

This was in the evening after we left Mykonos. Instead of having dinner at the usual buffet restaurant, we indulged ourselves at one of the themed restaurant in the cruise, Grand Pacific.

It seems like a warm sunset, but it was actually very cold out there

Madoupas Cafe-Restaurant, Mykonos

Mykonos is an expensive place, due to its tourist attractions. So when it comes to food and beverages, we were very careful not to spend on the overrated restaurants. After we surveyed a few, we finally decided to stop at this cafe called Madoupas Cafe-Restaurant which was located in the middle of Little Venice and not far from the port. The main reason we had our lunch here is because they displayed their menu with pricings out front, and the atmosphere of the cafe looks welcoming too. Here we had ourselves some Moussaka, pork steak and some brava coffee.

Breakfast, Norwegian Jade

After we board the cruise, we have to stay for another 24 hour at sea in order to reach our first destination, Corfu. Why not starts the day by having a good breakfast, and photograph the lovely food at the same time.
