The Journalist

According to the title stated, this post is about Yuan, who is a real-life journalist at one of the local Chinese daily newspaper. However, since this is a lifestyle portraiture, so I told Yuan to style-up a little more classic and vintage looking. Her appearance was enhanced furthermore by adding on an old SLR, 1982's Nikon FG which was borrowed from Mr. Kueh K.S.

Even though Yuan is not a photojournalist, she looked and acted just like one throughout the session. The content of this album is basically based on what she does on her daily routine. Well, I must really thank her for participating in this "journalism" assignment.

Masco's Day Out

I was photographing something adorable on last labor's day.

It's a toy poodle, he's 2.5 months old and belongs to Vincent. Since it was a public holiday, we went to Damai Central to have the photographs taken. As Vincent didn't prepare any hand-carry bag for Masco, so he just carried him within his arms, and this little creature did attract lots of attraction due to its cuteness.

Kimie La Ballerine

A classical dance swaying into the modern day environment. Featuring Kimie, a professional ballerina who started dancing while she was only 4 years old. She's been doing ballet for 14 years, ain't it amazing?

Everything has its beginning, and this is the first time I photographed a real life ballerina. I've been seeing a few website which presenting beautiful pictures of ballerinas across the world and it truly inspires me to get started in ballet photography. This style of photography is more like a mixture of environmental portrait and standard portraiture photography. In order to make the photos more "gracefully" looking, the pictures must be taken in a more artistic way.

A big thanks to Kimie for volunteering to have her beautiful moves and poses to be documented through my perspective. This session truly opened my eyes to ballet, and I am looking forward to photographing something like this in near future.

Portrait Of A Car: BMW 520i

I took these pictures for my superior not long ago when he's letting go this BMW 520i. Guess what he's driving now, a brand new BMW 3 Series Coupe (but I didn't know which exact model is that), he must've been a fan of the German automobile.

A different approach than taking photos of human, but I did enjoy the process though. I hope to take more photos of exotic cars in future, even better if there's a hottie accompanying the car (every boy's dream).
